Thursday, April 23rd, three guys are coming to Kiev, Ukraine: Christoph Brandner, Max Punktezahl and Florian Zimmer, and on Thursday night they are going to be playing in Xlib club - of course, as Saroos!

Misha Shkurat, who set this all up, already wrote about it and interviewed the band (both in Russian). I’ll just post the links to two wonderful songs, and say that if you’re in Kiev this Thursday, you know what to do! I’m going to stop my illness by that time.

Charlie Cooper, one of Telefon Tel Aviv, died. His friend and bandmate Joshua Eustis wrote on their Myspace blog:

It breaks my heart to inform you all that Charlie Cooper, my better half in Telefon Tel Aviv, passed away on January 22nd.

We have been friends since high school, and began making records together a decade ago. We have been so fortunate to tour the world together, while at the same time having a massive amount of laughs at one another’s expense.

One minute you mention Animal Collective, another minute you come across a track from their upcoming (January 20) album Merriweather Post Pavilion online. Ripped from some French podcast, but who cares… Pure wilderness!

Пока что предлагается один трек для скачивания и ознакомления (ссылку ищите ниже), Humdrum. “Танцевальная музыка для ленивых” - описано так, и довольно точно. Данспол на диване, танцы внутри мыслей… Глубокий, зимний, даже замороженный грув и теплый, dreamy вокал и гитары, от которых плавится самый холодный лед.
